Description:
Pickling is an ancient technique for preserving food for a long period of time! With this basic pickling recipe, you will learn how to prepare a variety of vegetables! Join CHPS Agriculture Specialist, Melissa Trent, in harvesting fresh vegetables from our school garden and pickling them. You will make and take a 12-oz jar of vegetables of your choice, including radishes, beets, cucumbers, beans, or carrots. You will also learn about different herbs and spices that can change the taste of your pickled veggies!

This class will take place on Monday, July 21st, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. out in Blooming Heights Garden behind the CHPS Family Center. If it is raining, the class will move indoors to either the high school or the Family Center.
